Soriphar is the product line of Soria Bel, the Belgian family business that has developed phytotherapy since 1990 and has produced it in-house in Ichtegem since 2000.
In 1990 Luc Staelens and his wife Mia Vanderheeren made a bold choice. They left everything behind to build a company around one conviction: the power of nature deserves a central place in health care.
That vision took shape when Luc met Antonio Esteban Villalobos, founder of Soria Natural and a pioneer in European phytotherapy. Luc decided to bring that knowledge to Belgium.
This is how Soria Bel came about, with a clear mission: to make phytotherapy accessible to pharmacists and doctors, and to strengthen confidence in plant-based health solutions.
What started as distribution grew into a company that develops and makes its formulas entirely in-house.
After Luc Staelens passed away in 2023, his children Sigurd, Sorien and Natan run the company together with Mia. They continue their father’s life’s work, with the same conviction.
