Krill oil is extracted from Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba), a planktonic crustacean rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids EPA and DHA.
Unlike fish oil, these fatty acids are naturally bound to phospholipids in krill oil, resulting in more efficient incorporation into the body’s cell membranes.
